St. John’s Church in Arcadia to Host 150th Anniversary Celebration and All-School Reunion
ARCADIA, Iowa – St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia will mark its 150th anniversary with a weekend of community festivities, including an All-School Reunion for former students of St. John’s School in Arcadia and Holy Cross School in Vail.
The reunion will take place Friday, August 29, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arcadia Legion. All past attendees of the two schools are welcome to reconnect and celebrate shared memories.
The celebration continues Saturday, August 30, with a full day of events in Arcadia. Activities include a car show from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a parade at 2:00 p.m., and an afternoon filled with family-friendly entertainment such as a bag tournament, children’s inflatables and games, Bingo, and more.
Festivities will conclude with a street dance beginning at 7:30 p.m., featuring live music from the local band Wild Ambition.
