Crawford County Pheasants Forever Partners to Enhance New Public Hunting Ground

Crawford County’s outdoor opportunities are growing thanks to a new partnership between the Board of Supervisors, Crawford County Conservation, and Crawford County Pheasants Forever.
The County Home farm, located outside of Arion, was recently enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). To help care for and manage the property, Pheasants Forever has teamed up with county officials to ensure the land develops into a high-quality wildlife habitat.
This week, members of Crawford County Pheasants Forever dedicated an afternoon to giving the property’s parking lot a full makeover. The CRP is currently in its first year of establishment, meaning it will take a year or two before the habitat reaches its full potential.
Once matured, the 170 acres will serve as a valuable addition to Crawford County’s public hunting grounds, offering new opportunities for sportsmen and wildlife enthusiasts alike for years to come.
