Veterans Benefit Fair Coming to Manilla on October 8
Manilla, Iowa – Area veterans and their families are invited to attend a multi-county Veterans Benefit Fair on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Manilla Memorial Hall on Main Street. The free event is hosted by Crawford, Carroll, Shelby, and Audubon Counties and aims to connect veterans with resources, benefits, and community support.
The fair will feature a wide range of services, including:

VA Benefits Assistance: County Veterans Service Officers and representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be available to assist with applying for benefits, checking claim status, understanding eligibility, and filing compensation or pension claims.

Health and Wellness: Staff from the Carroll Community-Based Outpatient Clinic will provide information on physical and mental health services, eligibility, and enrollment.

State of Iowa Benefits: The Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs, along with county service officers, will share details about programs unique to Iowa veterans, such as the Iowa Veterans Cemetery and the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund.

Heroes with Hearing Loss Program: Offering solutions to minimize the impact of hearing loss, including free captioned telephones.

Community Support: Local organizations will host booths highlighting services such as home health care, hospice, assisted living, and skilled care.
The Manilla American Legion Auxiliary will provide a free lunch to attendees.
