McWillliams Pleads Guilty in Death of Earling female
Ashley McWilliams, the woman charged in connection with the death of 32 year old Theresa Kenkel of Earling, has entered a plea of guilty. McWilliams was charged with Accessory After the Fact in the death of 32-year-old Theresa Kenkel. Her trial had been scheduled to begin on November 4th, but sentencing is now set for November 17th.
Winston “Joe” Leal has been charged with First-Degree Murder; his trial is scheduled to begin November 4th. The charges stem from an incident on Thursday, July 31, when the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check at 204 2nd Avenue in Earling. Deputies discovered Kenkel deceased inside the residence.
