McGowan Shatters Iowa-4 Fundraising Record
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Chris McGowan, Republican candidate for Congress in Iowa’s 4th Congressional
District, confirmed that his “McGowan for Iowa” campaign has accomplished their first quarter financial goals and established a new fundraising record for first-time, Republican congressional candidates in Iowa.
In today’s filing with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), officials with “McGowan for Iowa” reported that the campaign raised over $372,000 in contributions in its first quarter of activity. The fundraising total exceeds all previous fundraising marks for a first-time, Republican congressional candidate, without a personal loan, in the State of Iowa during the first quarter of their campaign. Mike Thom, General Consultant for “McGowan for Iowa” stated, “Today’s unprecedented announcement removes any doubt that Chris McGowan is the strongest candidate to win this open Republican primary.” Thom, who’s from Cambridge, Iowa in the 4th Congressional District continued, “Chris combines record-breaking fundraising strength with an America First, Iowa Always message focused on supporting President Trump’s political agenda. McGowan is the true outsider who can unite conservatives and deliver a win for Iowa’s 4th District.” Sioux City-native Katie Delzell, who is the founder and CEO of Beacon Consulting and serves as the “McGowan for Iowa” fundraising strategist, added, “Chris McGowan’s early success signals an extraordinarily strong show of support for his candidacy from across the 4th District, and this has sent a powerful message, not only to Iowans, but to the political leadership in our nation’s capital.” Delzell continues, “This significant accomplishment has solidified Chris as the clear front-runner in the race to represent Iowa’s 4th congressional district.”
