Dunlap’s Austin Schaben Earns 8th Place at Greater Midwest Livestock Auctioneering Contest

DUNLAP, IA Austin Schaben of Dunlap earned an eighth-place finish at this year’s Greater Midwest Livestock Auctioneering Contest, continuing a strong tradition of excellence in the auction industry.

Schaben is a third-generation auctioneer and cattle producer from southwest Iowa. He and his wife have been married for 10 years and are raising their three children on an acreage just outside of Dunlap.

Schaben is a member of the team at Dunlap Livestock Auction, which recently celebrated its 75th anniversary and also served as the host site for the World Auctioneer Contest. The contest placement highlights both Schaben’s individual skill and the strong auctioneering legacy tied to the Dunlap Livestock Auction operation.
