Threat to Harlan Community School this morning not credible
On February 13, 2026, at approximately 6:53 a.m., Harlan Community School officials and the School Resource Officer were notified of a potential threat to the campus. The School Resource Officer immediately initiated an investigation and determined, prior to the start of the school day, that the threat was not credible. As a precautionary measure, additional law enforcement personnel were deployed to the campus during the investigation to ensure the continued safety and security of students and staff.
