MRHC Offers a Special Way to Celebrate Breast Cancer Survivors

MRHC Offers a Special Way to Celebrate Breast Cancer Survivors

Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) invites the community to help recognize and celebrate breast cancer survivors through a special floral sponsorship opportunity in partnership with Kristina’s Flowers. Individuals, organizations, and businesses can nominate a breast cancer survivor to receive a floral arrangement or sponsor a bouquet for $40.

“Honoring breast cancer survivors is a meaningful way to celebrate their strength and remind them of the support surrounding them,” said MRHC Chief Operating Officer Jackie Blackwell, RN, BSN, MBA, CPHQ.

Bouquets will be delivered to cancer survivors within a 30-mile radius of Manning every Friday in October. To nominate someone or sponsor an arrangement for $40, please call Kristina at (712) 655-2004. Payments can be made at Kristina’s Flowers.

Along with celebrating survivors, MRHC encourages women to stay up to date on recommended breast cancer screenings. Regular mammograms can help detect breast cancer early, sometimes before symptoms develop. Starting at age 40, women at average risk of breast cancer should receive a mammogram every two years. Recommendations vary based on age, health history, and individual risk factors. Women should talk with their healthcare provider about the right screening schedule for them.

Mammography services are available at MRHC, making it convenient for women in the area to receive important breast cancer screenings close to home. To learn more about mammography services or to schedule a screening, call (712) 655-2072 or visit mrhcia.com.
