Household Hazardous Waste Clean-up Day

Residents of Crawford County please bring items you are looking to get rid of. We will be accepting residential household hazardous waste for free. That's right FREE! Do you have some cleaning chemicals or oil based paints that you need to get rid of? Bring them down. Do you have a jug of antifreeze or pool chemicals that you’re not sure what to do with them? Bring them down.
What are some items we will be accepting
- Aerosol Cleaners, Paints
- Ammonia-Based Cleaners
- Antifreeze
- Batteries
- Fertilizers & Weed Killer
- Fluorescent and LED Light Bulbs
- Gasoline, Kerosene
- Oil, Lead-Based Paint
- Stains, Varnishes
- Metal Polishes, Rust Removers
- Thermometers & Thermostats (Mercury)
- Pesticides
- Petroleum Adhesives
- Used Motor Oil and Oil Filters
- Sharps or Needles (must be contained)
----- Use detergent bottles or sharp containers (not milk jugs or pop bottles). Lids must be taped and write "SHARPS" on the container
We will not be accepting ammunition, explosives, business waste, asbestos, electronics, latex paint, medications, radioactive material, fire extinguishers.
