ISU signee Omaha Biliew named to McDonald’s All-American Game

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State men’s basketball signee Omaha Biliew has been named to the McDonald’s All-American Game. Biliew is the third Iowa State signee to be named to the game. The game is scheduled for March 28 in Houston.

Biliew, out of Waukee, is part of the highest-ranked recruiting class in Iowa State history. The class is rated No. 6 nationally by Rivals, while ranking No. 7 by 247Sports and ESPN. It is the top-ranked class in the Big 12 by all three outlets.

A consensus five-star recruit, Biliew is the highest-ranked signee for Iowa State in the modern era. He is ranked in the top 15 in the country by all three national outlets, ranking as high as ninth on the ESPN Top 100. As a sophomore at Waukee High School, he led the Warriors to the Iowa 4A State Title, averaging 10.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game. He played his junior year at Link Academy before returning to Waukee for his senior season. He played for MoKan Elite on the AAU circuit, helping the team its third title at the Peach Jam.

This season, Biliew has led the Warriors to a 13-2 overall record, while averaging a team-best 22.7 points per game. He is averaging a double-double with 11.0 rebounds per game, while adding 2.7 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.2 steals per game. Waukee is currently ranked second in the state.
