No. 4 Iowa State basketball seeks improvement despite 9-0 start

Iowa State basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger says even in the midst of a hot streak, his team is still looking to improve. The fourth-ranked Cyclones are 9-0 and have played as well as anybody in the country the past couple of weeks. They are coming off a stunning road blowout on Saturday with an 81-58 win at then top-ranked Purdue. In the last three games, the Cyclones have shot a sizzling 57 percent from three-point range, but Otzelberger says their success begins on the defensive end of the court. Otzelberger says another key for this team has been the players accepting their roles. Senior guard Tamin Lipsey says a consistent approach does not change based on the opponent or the results. The Cyclones host Iowa Thursday night.
