IGHSAU releases first volleyball rankings of the season
With volleyball season on the horizon, the IGHSAU released their first edition of Class 5A-1A rankings on Wednesday.
Waukee Northwest open the season as number one in Class 5A, while Norwalk debut the season at one in 4A. Lewis Central are ranked 13th in 4A, follwed by Glenwood at 15. 3A will be led by Cherokee, while State Qualifiers from last season Kuemper Catholic rank sixth. Grundy Center top 2A, with three Western Iowa Conference teams, Riverside (4), Red Oak (11), & Missouri Valley (14) in the rankings. 1A is topped by Janesville, with West Monona rounding out the rankings at 15th.
