The 2023 girls state individual and doubles tennis tournaments get started today and finish on Saturday. Class 1A is playing at Byrnes Park in Waterloo and Class 2A is playing at the University of Iowa Tennis Center in Iowa City. Here’s a look at area athletes that will be competing.

Class 1A Singles: Lanee Olsen, Lewis Central. Landry Miller, St. Albert.

Class 1A Doubles: Mayson Hartley and Taylor Cole, Clarinda. Avery Walter and Brooke Brown, Clarinda.
