9th Grade Monarch Football beats CB TJ 8-25-26

The Monarchs opened the 2023 football season with a 9/10 game at Gale Wickersham Athletic
Complex in Council Bluffs against CBTJ. After forcing a punt on defense, the Monarchs scored
on their first offensive possession with a 15-yard run by Jackson Graeve that resulted in a
touchdown. Osvan Diaz added the extra point to give the Monarchs a 7-0 early lead. Later in the
1st Quarter, Diaz added a 24-yard field goal, extending the Monarchs lead to 10-0.
The Monarchs maintained their two-score lead until the start of the 4th Quarter when Jackson
Graeve reached the end zone again on a 7-yard run. Diaz added the extra point, extending our
lead to 17-0. After forcing another punt by the Yellow Jackets, Jayden Bradley’s return gave the
Monarch Offense 1st and Goal inside the 10 yard line. Osvan Diaz made a 30-yard field goal,
producing a 20-0 win for the Monarchs, who host the Harlan Cyclones in a Freshmen
curtain-raiser next Friday at 4:15 p.m.
