Iowa State's Matt Campbell talks injuries as Cyclones prepare for Cincinnati
Iowa State will be without both starting corners for the remainder of the season. Cyclone coach Matt Campbell announced Jontez Williams suffered a torn ACL late in Saturday's 39-14 win over Arizona. Jeremiah Cooper was also lost to an ACL injury. Kicker Kyle Konrardy will miss his second straight game when the 14th-ranked Cyclones visit Cincinnati on Saturday. With Williams and Cooper out, Tre Bell and Quentin Taylor Jr. will be counted on to step up. Beni Ngoyi will also be in the rotation at corner. Campbell is close with Cincinnati head coach Scott Satterfield, and defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt worked on Campbell's staff at ISU. Campbell says the friendship is put aside for this week.
