The Crawford County Shooting Sports team officially kicked off the back half of the regular season this past Saturday with a return trip to the AVAD Hunt Club for their second meet of the year that was hosted by the Carroll County Shooting Sports Team. For the first time in four meets the weather was absolutely beautiful, which made for some extremely competitive rounds occurring between the five conference teams. Results are as follows:

 

1) The Crawford County Shooting Sports team brought home the first place trophy on Saturday with an overall combined score of 239/250.

• This weeks first place winning team consisted of Luke Steinkamp, Cooper Knickman, Graysen Schumann, Dawson Stephens, and Coy Poggensee

3) Ida County brought home third place with a score of 235/250

4) South Central Calhoun brought home fourth place with a score of 234/250

5) The MVAO RAMS team brought home fifth place with a final score of 227/250.

 

 

1) For the first time in the history of our conference, a first took place with the first place position this past Saturday. There was a four-way tie for first place above the leaderboard on Saturday, meaning there were four perfect round scores of 50/50 being shot. It was pre-determined at the beginning of the season, should this ever occur, that all competitors included in the tie would be awarded a first-place award for that meet. Luke Steinkamp of the Crawford County Shooting Sports team was one of those four competitors. The other three competitors consisted of two athletes from South Central Calhoun, with the fourth athlete competing for the Carroll County Shooting Sports team.

2) Cooper Knickman of the Crawford County Shooting Sports team placed fifth overall in the competition on Saturday with his score of 49/50 with a reverse run score of 43.

 

 

1) South Central Calhoun brought home the first place finish with a score of 46/50

2) Carroll County brought home second place with a score of 45/50, RR of 12

3) Ida County brought home the third place finish with a score of 45/50, RR of 3

4) Grace Collins of the Crawford County Shooting Sports team brought home the fourth place position with her score of 45/50, RR of 1.

 

 

1) Ida County brought home first place with an overall score of 216/250

2) Crawford County brought home the second place finish with their overall combined score of 212/250.

• This week's second place finishing team consisted of Lincoln Poggensee, Wyatt Kragel, Seth Ullrich, Jayce Wessel, and John Malone.

 

 

1) Ida County brought home the first place trophy with a score of 47/50

2) Lincoln Poggensee of the Crawford County Shooting Sports team brought home second place with his score of 45/50.

3) Wyatt Kragel of the Crawford County Shooting Sports brought home the third place finish with his combined score of 44/50.

 

 

1) Ida County brought home the top-three spots this week with scores of 45, 41, and 36.

 

The Crawford County Shooting Sports team will be hosting the second meet of the season this Saturday at our home range located just East of Denison. With the weather forecast seeming favorable at this moment, we are looking very forward to another fun and competitive day on the range.
