Drake's Joe Woodley previews Marist
Drake coach Joe Woodley says quarterback Chase Spellman is questionable as the Bulldogs take a 3-0 Pioneer Football League record to Marist. Spellman has struggled with what Woodley has described as an "upper body" injury and did not play in last week's 45-0 win over Valparaiso. If Spellman can't go, freshman Logan Inagawa will get another start. He has appeared in five games and thrown for five touchdowns and rushed for five. Drake's success can be traced to a simple combination. The Bulldogs have the second-best run game in the PFL and also rank second against the run. The chore for the Drake defense on Saturday will be slowing down Marist dual-threat quarterback Sonny Mannino.
