Dow City-Arion (DC-A) Alumni Committee Proudly Announces the 2024 Greyhound Award Recipients are John “Ernie” Klein and Mike Weber

Dow City, Iowa - The Dow City-Arion (DC-A) Alumni Committee proudly announces the 2024
Greyhound Award recipients are John “Ernie” Klein and Mike Weber. The Awards will be
presented to Klein and Weber at the upcoming DC-A Alumni Banquet.

Klein is a 1979 graduate of Dow City-Arion and has dedicated his life to the athletic
department at Dow City-Arion and Boyer Valley Schools serving as statistician for numerous
teams over a 40-year span as well as coaching and public address.

Weber graduated from Dunlap in 1985 and spent most of his career at Boyer Valley, 9
years as a teacher and eighteen as principal. These are only a few of the positions he’s held at
the school. Weber has also served the community through numerous volunteer positions
including many supporting his children as they grew up, for his church, and the Dunlap
community.

Klein and Weber’s years-long service to our schools, volunteerism at their churches,
and to the community are the key reasons each was selected for this honor.
