Sac County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake View Police Department Execute Search Warrant for Felon in Possession of Firearms

(WALL LAKE, IOWA) On May 31, 2024, a joint investigation was initiated by the Sac County
Sheriff’s Office and the Lake View Police Department regarding a complaint of a felon in
possession of multiple firearms. Around 9:52 PM, Sac County Deputies and Lake View Police
Officers mutually executed a search warrant at 206 W 4 th Street in Wall Lake. Several firearms,
firearm accessories, and a plethora of ammunition were located within the residence. As a
result, Lawrence Allen Pepples of Wall Lake was taken into custody by the Lake View Police
Department without incident for Iowa Code 724.26(1), Possession of a Firearm by Felon, a
Class D Felony.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
