Ron Moshier, RGV Entertainer of the Year To Perform in Manning Wednesday, June 26
Ron Moshier, the Texas Rio Grande Valley Entertainer of the Year for 2023 and 2024, will perform at the Hausbarn Heritage Park in Manning Wednesday, June 26. This will be the second year that Moshier has selected Manning for a Western Iowa performance.
The event is being co-sponsored by the Heritage Park and by Two Palms Grilling of Audubon. There will be free will offering for the performance that goes toward the Hausbarn Heritage Park to help with updates to the facility.
The Roten Bar Tavern and Two Palms Grilling will be open at 5 pm. Moshier will play from 6 to 9 pm.
“If you have ever been to one of Ron Moshier’s shows, you can physically feel the energy change throughout his
selection of music,” report the Winter Texan Times.
Moshier is originally from Big Lake, MN, and is playing venues in Missouri, South Dakota, and Iowa on his way
from Texas to MN this month. He is also performing on June 25 at a private party in Atlantic. On his return south,
Moshier will perform August 3 at a private party in Fontanelle and August 4 at the Croatian Slavic Center in Des Moines.
Moshier started playing the accordion when he was eight. He took eight years of accordion lessons, and eight
years of band and choir lessons. “I loved music from a young age, and the hard work I put into practicing and
rehearsing has made me who I am today,” Moshier said.
Moshier began touring professionally at the age of 25, and has opened for Tammy Wynette, Chubby Checkers,
Eddie Rabbit, and Pam Tillis. He says he provides a “full band sound with a one-man band.”
During his high-energy shows, Moshier sings while playing the accordion and keyboard. He does line dances,
polkas, waltzes - he gets his audience on the dance floor. His sidekick, promoter, and friend Timmy Ron Mull brings in
more dance steps, costumes, and humor.
Texas has been his home for more than 30 years. Moshier performs nearly every day, catering to both the
winter residents and year-rounders. His audience includes young people, locals, and snowbirds - all who share a love of
music and dancing. Songs range from Sweet Caroline and Elvira to Wagon Wheel and Who the H+++ is Alice?
