New trial request denied for former Adair Police Chief

Bradley Wendt, the former Adair police chief has been denied a request for a new trial.  This means that Wendt’s conviction will stand.  He was found guilty of 11 charges of allegedly misusing his position as police chief to buy and possess machine guns.  His attorneys argued he should get a new trial because the charges were vague and there wasn’t enough evidence.  In the 30 page court document, the judge shared evidence , including texts and law letters Wendt made during his tenure.
