Schleswig School District Voters Approve Authorizing Tax Levy in Special Election
Yesterday (Tuesday), a special election was held asking Schleswig School Disctrict voters to approve or disapprove of a physical plant and and equipment tax:
“Shall a levy not to exceed ten (10) years be authorized for a voter approved physical plant and equipment tax not to exceed sixty seven cents ($0.67) per one thousand dollars ($1000) of assessed valuation of the taxable property within the school district, and be authorized annually, commencing with the levy of property taxes for collection in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and to impose a PPEL upon the state individual income tax of each individual income taxpayer resident in the school district on December 31 for each calendar year.”
The tax was approved in a 24 to 13 vote in favor.
