CCMH Earns 5-Star Rating from CMS
(Denison, IA) – Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) is proud to announce its recognition as one of just 15 hospitals in Iowa, and among 350 hospitals nationwide, to receive a 5-Star rating for cleanliness from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This prestigious rating is based on the results of the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, a national, standardized tool that reflects patent experiences during recent inpatient stays.
The HCAHPS surveys, conducted between October 2022 and September 2023, evaluate keyaspects of patient care, including communication with healthcare providers, the cleanliness of facilities, and the overall hospital environment. Maintaining a clean, safe environment is essential in healthcare settings, as it directly impacts patient safety, infection prevention, and overall well-being.
"We are honored to be recognized with this 5-Star cleanliness rating," said Heather Rasmussen, Chief Quality and Ancillary Services Officer. "It reflects our dedication to not only offering excellent medical care but also ensuring that our hospital environment is clean and conducive to healing, which is crucial for patent outcomes."
The data was last updated on July 31, 2024, underscoring CCMH’s ongoing commitment toproviding top-quality healthcare services.
