Harlan’s Chickering $100,000 Lottery winner

66-year-old Brett Chickering of Harlan can officially declare his bad luck streak over after winning a $100,000 lottery prize. Chickering bought his “20X” lottery ticket at Harlan Hyvee and claimed his prize Wednesday at the lottery’s main office in Clive. After a number of health issues, Chickering said he feels like this win has turned his bad luck around. He said he will save most of his winnings and plans to continue working. 20X is a $10 scratch game that features seven top prizes of $100,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.15.
