Storm Lake Man Arrested After Disturbance, Threats Against Children
STORM LAKE, Iowa — A Storm Lake man is behind bars after police say he threatened children and damaged property during a disturbance Thursday evening.
Around 6 p.m., officers were called to the 700 block of Lincoln Road, where they found 36-year-old Ivan Tello Reyes allegedly intoxicated and yelling at family members outside a home. Authorities say Tello Reyes had gone inside the residence beforehand, where he caused damage and made threats to kill two minors.
When officers confronted him in the front yard, Tello Reyes reportedly ignored commands before being subdued and arrested.
He now faces a series of charges, including two counts of first-degree harassment, child endangerment, assault, operating while intoxicated (second offense), and interference with official acts.
Tello Reyes was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail, where his bond was set at $8,600.
