Vail Man Arrested on Juvenile Sexual Abuse Charge in Carroll
A Vail man has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual abuse case involving a juvenile.
Court records from Carroll County District Court show the Carroll Police Department took 22-year-old Marvin Loarca into custody on Thursday. He was booked into the Carroll County Jail on a charge of third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony.
Authorities allege the incident occurred on January 5 at a residence in the 900 block of East Highway 30 in Carroll. Investigators say the victim is a 15-year-old female, and court documents reference the four-year age difference between the victim and Loarca.
Under Iowa law, a Class C felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and fines approaching $14,000.
