Food Collection for TAP
Saturday May 9th
The Denison U.S. Postal Service Letter Carriers will be collecting food.
Both rural and city carriers will pick up non-perishable food or paper items left by the patrons mailboxes or mail slots.
Examples of foods needed include: canned meats, canned soup, juice, vegetables, cereals, rice, noodles, ketchup, flour, & sugar.
Please do not include items that have expired or those in glass containers.
Food pantries run by TAP usually run low on supplies this time of year.
In the past postal patrons have been generous in sharing with others. Remembering to put out a food item will help others.
At the end of the working day Saturday, carriers will get a total weight of the collection and then deliver it to TAP in Denison (all donations stay local).
