Crawford County Supervisors hear from some citizens in favor of wind turbines

The Crawford County Board of Supervisors fielded another hour-long discussion about the potential impact of wind turbines during their weekly meeting on Tuesday. Chairperson Jeri Vogt provided KDSN with a brief recap of that.

The supervisors approved a letter of understanding related to the annual audit and endorsed high-priority repairs to a loose antenna on the radio tower at the courthouse. County Engineer Paul Assman told the board that road crews will be re-doing a one-mile stretch of the shoulder on the north side of E59. He will also be consulting with the City of Schleswig about an asphalt resurfacing project on a portion of E Avenue. Supervisors have started discussion with the Crawford County Firefighters Association regarding how to resolve compliance issues reported by the State Auditor early last week.
