Crawford County Supervisors make appointments to American Rescue Plan committee

The Crawford County Board of Supervisors continued to shape the newly-formed American Rescue Plan Act Committee during their weekly meeting on Tuesday.

The supervisors appointed Jean Heiden and Kyle Schultz to the committee and discussed putting together an application for local use of the federal funds. They approved conservation wage changes for the upcoming fiscal year and 2021 disabled veteran's, homestead, and military tax credit applications. They also accepted quarterly reports from the sheriff and recorder.

The supervisors and County Engineer Paul Assman continued a conversation with Mike and Austin McMinemee about a right of way issue on O Avenue which relates to fence location following a summer grading project. The board is sending Heiden and Ty Rosburg to meet with the Crawford County Firefighters Association regarding the Ridge Road tower as soon as possible. They also discussed further efforts to reach the land owners of potential sites for land mobile radio communication towers. The county sent letters to several prospective partners but many of them provided no reply.
