Denison High School REACH Day is next Tuesday
Denison High School is hosting a “REACH” day on Tuesday, September 27th with a career fair that morning in the gym. Principal Dave Wiebers says they are hoping to have any local businesses interested talk to students about different jobs that West Central Iowa has to offer.
“Some of our kids may not be aware of some of the careers that are in our community. They think they have to move away but now they can find out I can do some of those things and just stay in this area. Just a day that we feel we get a lot of things to our kids that they need in the future. We just want to give businesses that opportunity,” said Wiebers.
Setup will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the career fair open from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Wiebers says any businesses interested in signing up can contact the high school. He says other events that day include guest speakers on topics like distracted driving and the junior class touring Morningside University and Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City.
