City of Denison Launches New Online Service Tool
Residents in the City of Denison can now complete and pay for many registrations and permits online with FrontDesk.
City Clerk Jodie Flaherty says it's an online tool that allows customers to interact with city departments online and the idea is to make things easier for citizens.
"I know some people do not like to call and complain. You can report it online. If you go in and sign up you can include your email and phone number and be contacted by the city," Flaherty says.
Citizens can submit forms, make online payments, make requests, and view the latest agenda, minutes, and notices. People will also be able to submit “311” citizen requests and complaints for Code Enforcement, Parks & Rec, Public Works, garbage collection, and more. These can be entered at any time of day, and people can upload a photo of the request when appropriate.
"I'm sure we haven't thought of everything we can put on there yet. We're doing the commonly used forms that we have out front and then we will probably ease into more and more as we go on. We're trying to put frequently asked questions online. Even for contractors if the city has a project going out for bid we're hoping we can grab their emails," Flaherty says.
A link to the portal is on the city’s website along with step-by-step instructions.
