New Kids Kitchen Set at Norelius Community Library
The Norelius Community Library recently accepted the donation of a kitchen set.
The Denison Library Friends and a memorial fund helped give the set to the library. Youth Services Librarian Katie Guthrie says it comes with many fun features.
“There’s a little toast set, there’s a tea set, and some wooden food that you can use with the knife and they can cut it and it velcros together and the kids have been having a lot of fun with it.”
She says the kitchen set is free to the public and not just for toddlers.
“Everybody loves the kitchen set! I’ve even had 4th and 5th graders over there playing with it and so I think it’s been a really great addition to the library. We do have a toddler playtime every Tuesday at 10 AM and every other Saturday at 10 AM so that all the little kids can come and play together.”
Guthrie says there is more fun to be had with their upcoming Summer Library Program with the theme “Reading is Magical”.
