Crawford County Nearing Hire of New Weed Commissioner
Crawford County is closing in on hiring a new weed commissioner.
Chairman Ty Rosburg says the board of supervisors started with five applications and they are now considering a pair of candidates.
“There’s a lot of things they gotta know how to deal with as far as chemicals that are used for weeds and stuff like that. They gotta be certified. Age wasn’t a depending factor but we’re kind of looking at some younger people that hopefully will want to do it for a while,” said Rosburg.
Rosburg says the county hopes to make a selection next week so the new hire can start training in early March.
He also says longtime weed commissioner Doug Haase served the community well for many years.
