The Sac County Sheriff’s Office says they seized multiple firearms and more than $7,000 in cash during a drug bust this week.
United States Postal Inspectors reportedly found THC edibles in packages set to be delivered to a home in Schaller. Authorities say they conducted surveillance on the delivery date of Tuesday, February 28. They later executed two search warrants on the residence along with a separate building nearby. Law enforcement says they seized three firearms, over $7,000 in cash, three marijuana plants, and other drug paraphernalia, at the home. Authorities also found evidence suggesting THC wax was being made and distributed at the other property. Officers arrested 28-year-old Juliette Munoz and 28-year-old Cesar Omar Gonzales-Ballesteros turned himself in on Tuesday evening. Ballesteros is charged with three Class D felonies including possession with intent to deliver, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and possession of a short-barreled rifle. Munoz is charged with possession with intent to distribute which is a class B felony. Ballesteros and Munoz later bonded out of jail. The investigation is still ongoing with more criminal charges expected.
