Iowa DOT Upgrading Bridge Over East Boyer River
The Iowa Department of Transportation is replacing the bridge deck over the East Boyer River this summer.
The Iowa DOT will have Highways 59 and 30 down to one lane in each direction from Monday, March 27 until October 26, weather permitting. The road will also have a 10-foot lane-width restriction.
Officials are asking for help keeping everyone on the road safer by driving with caution, obeying all posted signs in the work area, and remembering that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. They also say you should stay alert, allow enough space between vehicles, and wear seat belts. You can always find the latest travel information online through the 511 system.
