The Second Hot Summer Nights Event Kicks Off Tonight

The second installment of Hot Summer Nights will be from 6 to 10 pm tonight in downtown Denison. There will be a food court, live music, a beer garden, and family-friendly entertainment. Event Organizer Taylor Borkowski said she is looking forward to seeing people from around the community come out to enjoy local festivities. Borkowski said this event will feature a familiar group. “Friday night, that’ll be Wild Ambition. They’re out of the Carroll area, they’ve also been here before,” Mayor Pam Soseman had previously mentioned she hoped the new City of Denison banners would be up in time for the first Hot Summer Nights event. Unfortunately, the banners had not been printed in time. With this event, there is renewed hope. “Some of the banners will be in place for the Hot Summer Nights events. I ask that everyone get out and support this event as some of the monies will be going toward the Wellness Center. And kudos to Taylor Borkowski who works tirelessly to get these things pulled off for the greater good of Denison,” Broadway from Main Street to 14th Street will be closed at 2 pm for event set up.
