Two women arrested in Carroll after incident involving deadly weapon

The Carroll Police Department released the names of two women who were taken into custody after an incident that briefly put Fairview Elementary into lockdown yesterday morning. According to Carroll Police Chief, Brad Burke, officers and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a parking lot in Carroll at around 9:15 a.m. on a report of two armed females, identified as 30-year-old Kamille Garnett and 27-year-old Glennisha Myers, both of Carroll,who were in an argument. Upon arrival, authorities located one woman armed with a small caliber handgun. A larger caliber pistol was also located at the scene. The suspects were detained while law enforcement executed a search warrant at the nearby apartment building, resulting in the seizure of suspected narcotics. Both women were arrested and transported to the Carroll County jail. Garnett is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a class D felony, child endangerment and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, aggravated misdemeanors, and possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. Myers is charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.
