Youth Bowling Leagues Start later this Month on Saturdays beginning September 23rd at Lucky Lanes in Denison
With the school year now in full swing, Lucky Lanes in Denison is ready for youth bowling leagues later this month. Jennifer Totten with the bowling alley said they’re starting soon. “Youth League doesn’t start until September 23rd but it gives families time to get into a routine with school and then all those big events that happen in September on the weekends; it’s right after those and then the youth will start.” For parents wanting to get their kids involved, Totten said there’s a couple ways to do so.” They can either message the Facebook page; if they know somebody that's in the league they can contact them to get a hold of the league secretary or president, or they can just stop down.” Totten said they’ve organized youth bowling leagues on Saturdays into various time slots. “11 and under starts at 8:15 a.m. They will bowl three games. 8 year olds and under are going to bowl two games for competitive play and the third one is going to be for fun just to kind of keep things going so that we don’t get behind on the later shift because we have two shifts. The younger kids start at 8:15am they’re done by 10:15 a.m. and then the older kids start at 10:30 a.m. and they’re done around 12:30 p.m.” For more information on youth bowling leagues or Lucky Lanes in general one can visit their Facebook page “Lucky Lanes XII”.
