Accident near Earling leaves two with minor injuries
On the afternoon of Friday, October 2nd on highway 59 north of the Earling turn-off, a Shelby County Sheriff's report shows that a 2015 GMC driven by 46 year old Robbie McLaughlin of Leander, TX was slowing for a tractor when a 2002 Toyota driven by 25 year old Ana Lima of Denison, struck the GMC in the rear. Damages were estimated to be $10,000 for Lima's Toyota and $5500 for McLaughlin's GMC. Lima and a passenger in her vehicle were transported to Myrtue Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The passenger was then transferred by LifeNet Helicopter to Omaha for further treatment.
