Numerous Fire Departments Called to Residential Fire in Defiance
(KNOD) At about 8:30 this morning, the Defiance and Irwin Fire Departments were called to a structure fire in Defiance. Earling and Harlan Fire Departments as well as the Westphalia Fire Department were called in as well. Reports indicate that the furnace in the house did not work and they were using a portable LP heater to heat the house. When trying to light it this morning, it ignited. The occupants were able to get out of the house but lost everything in the fire. No other information is available at this time.
