Minor injuries reported in Denison car crash
Minor injuries were reported for one driver in a car crash that took place Friday, October 9th. An accident report from the Denison Police Department shows that 41 year old Melissa Jacoby of Denison received citations for no valid drivers license, failure to provide proof of financial liability, failure to maintain registration plate, and failure to obey stop sign and yield to right of way. Jacoby was driving east on 3rd ave. North in a 2011 GMC Sierra when she struck a 2013 Acura driven by 59 year old Jose Orellana-Guerdado of Denison who was driving north on Main St. Two witnesses gave written statements of Jacoby not stopping for the stop sign. An EMS was called for Guerdado as he suffered minor injuries. The fire department was called for a fuel leak from Jacoby's fuel tank. Damage to Jacoby's Sierra was estimated to be $2,000 and damage to Guerdado's Acura is estimated to be $3,000. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
