The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch for portions of Western Iowa Northeast Kansas Northwest Missouri Eastern Nebraska
Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 1255 PM until 700 PM CDT.
IOWA COUNTIES INCLUDED ARE: FREMONT HARRISON MILLS MONONA MONTGOMERY PAGE POTTAWATTAMIE SHELBY and WOODBURY.
* Primary threats include… A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible Widespread large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3 inches in diameter likely Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY…Thunderstorms are forecast to develop and spread across the watch area this afternoon. Supercells capable of very large hail and a few tornadoes are the main threat. A strong tornado is possible. T
