Severe Thunderstorms and Tornadoes are the headliners again
(KNOD) Severe storms hit southwest Iowa again overnight with Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado warnings. Those warnings continued into the morning hours. A funnel cloud was reported by the public southwest of Harlan near 900th and Juniper Road at 12:52 this morning. Also a report of a tornado about a mile south of Kirkman traveling northeast at about 1:10 this morning. There were reports of 2 inch hail north of Harlan and one inch hail northeast of Harlan last night. Power lines were reported down on the northeast side of Audubon at 1:30 this morning. There were several tree branches down in the city limits of Audubon and a 64 mph wind gust northeast of Audubon at 1:38 this morning. There were many reports of hail around the area and water over the road in Guthrie County. We remain in a moderate risk of severe weather today. Tornadoes are once again possible, especially this afternoon. Strong winds are also possible with large hail.
