Arraignment hearing set for Carroll woman
An arraignment hearing has been set for 30 year old Kamille Garnett of Carroll, who was involved in several incidents which involved firearms at Carroll's Fairview Village Apartments is scheduled for next week. According to trail information, Garnett faces six counts, including: intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony; going armed with intent and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, class D felonies; and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, child endangerment, and intent to deliver alprazolam while in possession of a firearm, all aggravated misdemeanors. The hearing is set for Monday, November 2nd. These charges are a result of an investigation into an altercation October 5th in which Garnett and 27 year old Glennisha Myers had allegedly drew pistols during a dispute. Myers also faces charges related to the incident. Both women face additional charges in connection to another confrontation just before midnight Oct. 13 in which a 31-year-old Ames man sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. Not including pending charges, Garnett faces over 25 years in prison and more than $43,000 in fines if found guilty on all counts.
