On Wednesday, November 11th shortly after 5:00 p.m., one person was injured and 2 others checked by paramedics following an accident Wednesday morning south of Harlan. A 2007 Honda 4-door, driven by James Miller of Hancock and a 2002 Toyota RAV 4, driven by 70 year old Bret Anderson of Papillion, Nebraska were both northbound on Highway 59 at the 68 mm and were stopped in a construction zone area. 51 year old Darian Robinson of Shelby, driving a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon was also northbound on Highway 59 and could not get slowed down in time for the vehicles. Robinson struck the rear end of the Anderson vehicle, causing that vehicle to be pushed into the Miller vehicle. All 3 vehicles were moved to the shoulder of the road prior to the arrival of the Shelby County Sheriff. The two occupants in the Miller vehicle were checked by Medivac Ambulance Service and stated they may be seen at a later time for treatment.
