Alleged burglarizing duo scheduled for trial

-Two individuals who were accused of burglarizing several vehicles in Carroll at the beginning of November have been scheduled for trial next year. Carroll County District Court records show that 19 year old Kaela Schulz of Carroll pled not guilty to second-degree and third degree burglary which are both felonies, and six counts of motor vehicle burglary and one count of credit card fraud, which are each aggravated misdemeanors. The Carroll Police Department's investigation found that Schultz and 19 year old Austin Eslick of Ames removed items from at least 6 unlocked vehicles between November 3rd and November 4th and attempted to use a bank card stolen from one of the vehicles at a Carroll retailer. Schultz's trial is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 9th with a pretrial conference planned for January 25th. And Eslick, who faces the same charges, also pled not guilty and is scheduled to go before a jury on March 23rd.
