Sac County man sentenced for attempt to lure minor
-40 year old Nathan Landrum of Carnarvon was convicted this week of enticement of a minor. The conviction stems from accusations that the Sac County man seeked out a 12 year old on social media for sexual activity. Landrum will face prison time after pleading guilty in federal court in Sioux City.
In a plea agreement, Landrum admitted to using Facebook Messenger in April of this year in an attempt to lure the child to his apartment. Landrum remains in custody at the United States Marshal pending sentencing, and faces a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison with a max sentence of life imprisonment, as well as a 250 thousand dollar fine and three years of supervised release following his prison term. Sentencing will be set once a pre-sentence report is prepared.
