Charity group gives to St. Anthony
A news release from St. Anthony Regional Hospital shows that on Monday, November 30th, two co-chairs of 712 Women on a Mission charitable group presented $4500 to St. Anthony Staff for use in the Behavior Health Unit. The money will be used for patient activities and needs such as videos, books, playing cards, clothing, shoes, gas cards, and other items.
Dr. Amy Canuso said in the release, “The primary mission of the behavioral health unit at St. Anthony Regional Hospital is to provide comprehensive acute psychiatric care to those in need of our community. We very much appreciate the generous donation made by 712 Women on a Mission” Canuso added that the funds will provide essential learning tools for patients to use while in the hospital, patients can even use the items that will be bought with the money home to practice new coping mechanisms and cognitive behavioral techniques. This year, the group collected over $20,000 towards four 501c3 projects in the Carroll area Community.
