Sac City considering RAGBRAI stop
The Sac City Council is set to meet this evening for a special session which will decide if the community will be an overnight stop on the 2021 RAGBRAI route. Sac City was scheduled to be a pass-through community on the 2020 route, but due to the pandemic the longstanding traditional ride was called off. Organizers are planning on using a very similar route this Summer, but officials in the original host community of Storm Lake have decided to remove the town from consideration. Sac City Administrator, Jamie Lawrence says Sac City leaders were approached about taking the vacancy left by Storm Lake. While the council has concerns about hosting, it will be under consideration at tonight's meeting.
