Westside puts on successful drive-thru Supper for New Years
Though the Westside Fire Department changed the format of their annual New Year's Eve Steak Supper due to restrictions brought on by the COVID19 pandemic, the drive-thru event was still a success as it still attracted many area supporters. A total of 724 people were served which is a 240-person increase from last year's number. Many who attended thought highly of how the Department adjusted to the guidelines and still served many. The two winners of the $500 cash prize drawings in the raffle were Denny Dozark of Vail and Craig Von Glan of Westside, both of whom donated their winnings back to the department. A quilt donated by Busy Thimbles was won by Vicki Musfeldt of Westside. Manning Fire and Rescue also received many compliments for a drive-thru supper they held on New Years Eve.
